Two workshops are scheduled for 2021-2022 and will be delivered via Zoom:

Three other workshops were cancelled when the pandemic started in 2020. If you are interested in having them rescheduled via Zoom, please let us know and we will contact the various people for dates in 2022. Details for these workshops are also below.
Mini Maker Case
Date: Saturday March 12 (rescheduled from March 5)
Time: 9:00 AM - noon, with time open in the afternoon to finish
Location: via Zoom
Fee: $20 for guild members*; $25 for non-members and is based on space availability
Guild member Johanne Vajda is offering this workshop. This little case is perfect for storing and transporting your travel iron, and is very versatile for other uses. If you have taken a workshop with Johanne in the past, you won’t want to miss this one. Your travel iron will also be happy to have a nice comfy place to call home!
This case is 8” wide x 4” deep x 4.5” high
* Any member of a quilt guild in Eastern Ontario can participate in our workshop for the guild member fee as part of a long standing inter-guild agreement.
Payment for the workshop is required before the materials list is sent.

Our December speaker, Melissa Marginet is offering us a chance at a private workshop with her. You will be guided through quilting a small quilt with your walking foot. You will learn the basic skills of walking foot quilting and plenty of tips and tricks to help you along the way to quilting all your own quilts on your home sewing machine.
Directions to make the small quilt are included with the class supply list.

The workshop will cover four DD9P block variations - Traditional, Transitioning to Modern, Modern, and Improv.
Participants will learn how to construct the block and receive useful tips.
These 15" square sample blocks will be suitable for use as a cushion cover.
A pattern for construction of the block, and all fabric for construction of four sample blocks, is supplied.
This class has been offered at many guilds in our area with outstanding approval.

- sewing machine in working order, your favorite ¼'' piecing foot and the machine’s user manual
- your usual sewing supplies, including a seam ripper, spare needles, neutral coloured thread, pins (optional)
- rotary cutter, a spare blade, assorted rulers (8, 9 or 12” square, 6” straight ruler), cutting mat
- a simple design wall
