Arnprior & District Quilters' Guild Newsletter - April 2023
It is time to pull out all your quilts, register them, and hang them up proudly at our quilt show. Big or small we want them all! Yes, even wall hangings, quilted pillows, table runners, etc... We would love to show all your pieces of creative quilted artwork big and small. There is no limit to the quilts you can enter, as we all have 4 years of quilting to display. I know that we may have given some away, but if the quilt isn't too far away, please consider borrowing it back for the show.
Hope to see you at the April 19th meeting at 7pm, it should be an exciting one with all our completed challenge quilts to see and vote on, charity quilts and lots of show and tell!
-- Vickie MacNabb, ADQG President

Volunteers are needed to make the quilt show a success. We will have the volunteer sign up sheets at the April 19th face to face meeting, so please join the team, there is always room for more helping hands. Join the fun! Please note that there is free entry for anyone who is showing up to a volunteer shift.
Friday April 28 is set up day. Don’t forget to drop off your quilts on Friday morning 8:30-11:30 AM, and have your name, the quilt name, and the registration number attached to them.
When you sign in your quilts, let us know if someone other than yourself will be picking them up. We will make note of this on the sign-out sheet.
On closing, Sunday, since some people are at the show until the end looking at our beautiful quilts, please do not take down the quilts before the show closes. Our last guests should enjoy the show as much as the first ones did. The quilts will be taken down and placed in member name alphabetical order and they need to be signed out as you exit the arena. This is for everyone's benefit - we don't want any quilts misplaced.

A huge thanks to those of you who have volunteered to make our guild season great so far, keep up the good work! We hope that everyone can enjoy a beneficial time together by helping out wherever you possibly can. Remember it doesn't have to be a big task, but if we work together it becomes less onerous. -- Vickie MacNabb on behalf of the Executives |
It’s hard to believe that the time has come to reveal our jelly roll quilts. Please bring your charity Jelly roll quilt to the April 19th quilt meeting for “Show and Tell.” I will have ADQG tags to hand out for the quilts. Can’t wait to see them!

As a guild member of the Canadian Quilters' Association (CQA) we are entitled to submit one entry from a member of our guild to this year's CQA Member Guild Challenge. We were able to notify the CQA by their March 15th deadline that we will be submitting an entry this year. We are aware of one entry - if you are planning to enter this challenge please notify the guild. The quilts from all of the guilds will be judged and displayed at Quilt Canada in Halifax in June
